Thank you for visiting the Vancouver Island Runners' Association website.
The 2011 Event Schedule has been finalized and we are excited to announce the the Bazan Bay 5k has a new start time - 11:00 am which is consistent with the other 7 races in the Series. Thank you to the Town of Sidney for approving the change in start time from 9 am to 11 am. The new start time will make it easier for participants from the Lower Mainland and up Island to participate in the event.
Over 4080 participants crossed the finish line in total for the 8 races in 2010 and we are working towards increasing participation for 2011 Series.
Online Registration will be opening on September 15, 2010!
We have a number of new sponsors this year and we will be having a special draw at the Pioneer 8k on January 9th for a one night's stay at The Beach Club Resort in Parksville and Dinner for Two.
For all of you that completed all 8 races of the 2010 Frontrunners Island Race Series, you will be receiving a certificate in the mail that will allow you to take advantage of the 50% Discount for the 2011 Registration. Congratulations to all of you!
